Recreational Gymnastics

At Superior we offer a well rounded program including skill development in tumbling, bars, beam, vaulting techniques, and tumble track. We also help develop a child's strength, flexibility, and all around fitness. Repetition is a key element in skill acquisition.

To eliminate the boredom, we teach new gymnastic skills in each lesson while reinforcing the skills already learned. Gymnasts in each class will be divided age appropriately. Gymnasts will be evaluated quarterly for advancement to the next level.

Preschool Gymnastics

Our tot and preschool programs are divided up into 3 divisions. We have the children divided into different classes by age groups because of the physiological and physical developments at each age. However, we present the same lesson plan to the 2 year olds that we do the 4 and 5 year olds, with greater expectation of accuracy from the older age groups.

Our tots still need the guidance of mom or dad to help them accomplish the skills they will learn in their class. Several different themes will be discussed and incorporated throughout the year. The ages corresponding to the classes are guidelines.

Parkour Classes

What is Parkour? Parkour is the art of movement, focusing on getting from one point to another, usually encountering obstacles, in the most efficient manner in regards to time and energy. It requires intense focus, drive, and discipline, both mentally and physically.

Originating in France and quickly building popularity in the United States, parkour is a particularly grueling form of exercise in which "traceurs" (participants of parkour) practice discipline, strength, personal awareness, and stamina to express themselves through movement.

Here at the Superior Gymnastics, our parkour classes focus on safely teaching the proper techniques of the basic movements needed to move efficiently through any environment, as well as conditioning to help "tracuers" build strength and endurance. Parkour encompasses all forms of movement, from jumping and vaulting to flipping for the more experienced. Along with strength, parkour also helps to develop balance and coordination.

Sign up for our parkour classes today and experience the satisfaction, confidence, and sheer "cool" factor of being a "traceur".
